Annual Meetings

 

NSCSS annual meetings have occurred anytime between November 2nd and March 3rd. As a result, annual meetings can seemingly skip a year or can occur less than 12 months apart within the same calendar year. A general preference is for meetings meetings in February, consistent with the seasonality of soil science consulting. As of 2007, 2 annual meetings (1999, 2000) were held in the fall in conjunction with SSSA. As a result Cliff Lander's "year" as President lasted 15 months and spanned 3 years while Barry Dutton's presidency spanned only 9 months.
