Each year the Board of Directors appoints a Regular Member to the Board of Examiners. Appointees must be NSCSS Registered Professional Soil Scientists. Terms are for three years and the terms are staggered among three positions.

 

The Board of Examiners processes applications for registration by NSCSS of Registered Professional Soil Scientists. The Board of Examiners:

  • Sets annual registration fees.

  • Sets the date annual fees are due.

  • Specifies the annual date for application submittal deadline.

  • Specifies the annual date to act on submitted applications, if other than the annual meeting.

  • Votes on all applications duly submitted during the preceding year.

  • Notifies applicants of results within 30 days of vote.

 

 

This position has normally required as much as 50 hours per year, but with an occasional year requiring in excess of 100 hours.

 

Current Examiners are Phil Scoles (2008) and Pierre Bordenave (2009). The 2010 position is vacant.
